409 Stainless Steel Coil: Grade 409 is a titanium-stabilised ferritic stainless steel. Although regarded as a general-purpose chromium stainless steel the almost exclusive application for Grade 409 is automotive exhaust systems. Its applications are those where appearance is a secondary consideration to mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, particularly at high temperatures, and where some weldability is required.

Product Apply
201 stainless steel is a low-carbon, austenitic chromium-nickel-manganese type of stainless steel that can be used at temperatures up to 1300°F (700°C). As long as there’s enough oxygen present, it won’t form hard spots or cracks when heated above that temperature. It also has good corrosion resistance at room temperature and below, but it will corrode when exposed to chloride solutions or substances containing copper or copper alloys such as brass.
